Product Details

The SmartAntenna F02 module combines Sarantel's omni-directional GPS miniature antenna with the Fastrax iTrax02 GPS receiver. The output of the module gives a digital geographical position anywhere on the earth to an accuracy of about +/-10 metres.

SmartAntenna F02 applications range from personnel tagging, location, navigation and logistics. This product is designed for, but not limited to, cellular telephones, two-way radio, personnel computers, vehicles tracking & navigation, ISM appliances and container / asset tracking etc. This product provides fast accurate geographical fixes without significant size or battery life impact - key considerations for many of these applications.

The small size of the SmartAntenna F02 and its fast operation is due to a combination of Sarantel's PowerHelix™ antenna technology Geohelix-S and Fastrax's popular iTrax02 receiver.

The unique attributes of these antennas result in omni-directional performance and high immunity to proximity interference from people, equipment and buildings, none of which are readily available in other GPS antenna products.

The evaluation kit consists of the SmartAntenna F02 module mounted on a PCB which has sockets for power supplies and USB connections. Also included is a CD of software, user manual and data sheets.
