This antenna offers the same revolutionary features - isolation from antenna mounting, small near field, immunity to common mode noise, balanced design - as its GeoHelix cousins but in a package not much larger than a pencil tip eraser.

Like all PowerHelix antennas, the Wi-Fi antenna provides excellent performance ithin the desired bandwidth range, however it acts more like a filter out of band. In fact, it is possible to eliminate some filters from the radio design.

What makes this possible is the revolutionary PowerHelix technology that uses high dielectric ceramics and twisted loop designs to constrain the near field of the ntenna. As a result, it does not require a ground plane and does not de-tune in the presence of the user's hand or head. Immunity to interference from common mode noise makes this antenna ideal for applications such as Wi-Fi cards in laptop computers.
